New or improved features are always being developed and implemented in the Prevue 2000 Assessment. In addition to these minor upgrades, we are also planning the following major initiatives.

New and Improved JDS - Our research team has revised and upgraded the Job Description Survey (JDS). The new and approved JDS is designed to make it easier for JDS participants to understand and respond to the questions in the JDS with a view to improving accuracy of Benchmarks derived from the use of the JDS.

New Learning Ability Scale - Our research team has developed a new measure of general ability sometimes referred to as Learning Ability. This new measure of general ability is derived from the "Working with Words" and "Working with Numbers" Abilities scales. It is distinguished from the current General Ability scale by the absence of any measure of the "Working with Shapes" scale (Spatial). This new Learning Ability scale has been developed in response to requests for a measure of general ability that does not require candidates to complete the Spatial Reasoning portion of the Prevue 2000 Questionnaire.

The current General Ability scale remains a superior measure of general ability. However, the new Learning Ability scale provides a fairly accurate measure of general ability that is adequate for most employment positions, particularly where spatial reasoning is not a significant component of the job.

View Assessments Inc. will incorporate the new Learning Ability scale into the Prevue 2000 Assessment in conjunction with current work on the underlying View Software Platform. The software platform upgrade is a major undertaking that is currently scheduled for completion in the latter part of 2002.

Software Auto Update - Consideration is being given to the incorporation of a mechanism in the View Software Platform to automatically download upgrades. Alternatively, this feature may be developed as a periodic reminder to the operator of the Software to download upgrades from this website. We would appreciate receiving feedback from users of the Prevue 2000 Assessment regarding the desirability of this suggested new feature. Please contact us and let us have your comments.

Prevue Online - Our development team is currently designing a website to administer the Prevue 2000 Questionnaire on the Web. The responses would be transmitted to current installations of the Prevue 2000 Software Program for the generation of Prevue 2000 Reports.

The first phase will see the Personality and Interest sections of the Prevue 2000 Questionnaire available from the site. The Abilities section will be added in a later phase. In the final phase, we anticipate that users will be able to create Benchmarks and generate Reports online, removing the need for installed software on the user's computer.
